About Us
A lifelong worldbuilding project, built in the real world.
NicePlaceBadSetting is a worldbuilding project rooted in the Christian faith, acknowledging that the world is strange, beautiful, broken, and meaningful, and that being human means learning how to overcome the world.
Through documentaries, short films, clothing, writing, art, and whatever else the project becomes, we explore the people, ideas, questions, and experiences that make up our world. We are interested in meaning, truth, beauty, suffering, faith, culture, and the strange places where they overlap.
NicePlaceBadSetting exists to create work that encourages curiosity, sparks thought, tells honest stories, and brings us one step closer to unraveling the mystery.
